My name is Giles Wilson.

My formal training includes a Bachelor of Industrial Design at The University of Canberra. Whilst there I also studied for a Diploma in Spanish Language in order to support a 9 month study exchange in Madrid at Istituto Europeo di Design.

On completion of my studies I undertook design internships with Pop Art Australia – Melbourne, Simoleit Industrie Design – Germany, and Craig Mounsey Design – Brisbane.

Since 2004 I have resided on the Gold Coast, Australia.

For 9 years I was a volunteer lifeguard with Surf Life Saving Australia rising to Patrol Captain. I completed both the Bronze and Silver Medallion courses in beach safety and water rescue.

My career experience includes 4 years of Construction Management with Hutchinson Builders and 3 years of Technical Sales Management with Intercad, Australia’s only Tier 1 reseller of Solidworks 3D CAD, Simulation, and Product Data Management systems.

I founded Zhomb Creative to realise my insatiable passion to work as a product design professional, and ran the practise successfully full time for 5 years.
To assist my development during this time I completed a Certificate 4 in both Small Business Management and Information Technology.

Many of the projects I was involved with are displayed here.

Since late 2014 I have been the Design Manager at Aqualuma LED Lighting. where I handle large elements of; product design & fabrication drawings; tooling procurement, initial samples & ordering; safety & compliance cetification testing; company ISO-9001 quality management & maturation; company Sugar CRM management & maturation.
